Leading Turf Care Machinery Supplier Selects Sage 200 on the Microsoft Azure cloud from Wharncliffe

Established in 1986, initially as a sports turf maintenance contractor, Campey Turf Care Systems has evolved into one of the UK’s leading independent distributors of specialist turf care machinery with an extensive dealer network across the globe.

“Wharncliffe impressed us with their technical knowledge and their emphasis on creating a relationship rather than just selling us a new system. They also understood our requirements and provided us with a realistic implementation schedule which suited our requirements.”

The Macclesfield based company supplies sports turf maintenance equipment which enables greenkeepers and groundsmen at golf courses, sports stadia and parks to ensure that their sports surfaces are always in premium condition. Campey Turf Care Systems equipment is in regular use at such prestigious venues as Real Madrid, FC Dallas, LA Galaxy, Maryland SoccerPlex, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and the golf clubs of Castle Stuart, Wisley and Gleneagles, to name just a few.

After 30 years of continuous growth, Campey Turf Care Systems realised that they had outgrown their existing business system and decided that it was time to ‘fill the gaps’ in their business processing.

Campey Turf Care Systems approached several potential suppliers but were quickly reassured by the consultative approach of Sage Regional Business Partner of the Year winner, Wharncliffe Business Systems Ltd.

Neil Armstrong, Accounts Manager at Campey Turf Care Systems explains. “Wharncliffe impressed us with their technical knowledge and their emphasis on creating a relationship rather than just selling us a new system. They also understood our requirements and provided us with a realistic implementation schedule which suited our requirements.”

Alan, continues. “Julia and Neil clearly explained what was holding their business back which allowed us to demonstrate how Sage 200 will remove and streamline many of their workaround solutions, specifically in areas such as serial number tracking on stock, export documentation and foreign currency processing.”

“We are delighted to be associated with Campey Turf Care Systems and are looking forward to helping all their staff work efficiently and effectively with their cloud-based Sage 200 solution.”

Consequently, the business is set to implement Sage 200 on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including Financials, Commercials and CRM along with Spindle Document Management, Orbis TaskCentre, Data Exchange and Panintelligence as part of a phased implementation

Alan concludes. “We are delighted to be associated with Campey Turf Care Systems and are looking forward to helping all their staff work efficiently and effectively with their cloud-based Sage 200 solution.”
