Get to Know Your Customer Day!
It’s this quarters Get to Know Your Customers Day, observed annually on the third Thursday of each quarter (January, April, July, October). This is a day to reach out to your customers and get to know them better.
You may remember starting out in business and you personally knew your customers by name, their buying requirements, their business and its challenges, etc. but as businesses grow this isn’t sustainable so we have to find new ways to stay in touch with customers across the company, maintaining as personal a contact as possible. Get to Know Your Customers Day is a day is a great opportunity to take a step back for some or all of the day and look at what more could be done to improve the knowledge and relationship your business has with its customers. We all know that getting new customers is hard, takes time, costs money, and that existing customers are the source of much of your ongoing income, so building strong relationships, and better ones than your competitors, will enable you to ride through the occasional challenges doing business together periodically brings to the suppler-client relationship.
