Why did Waterside Colours Select Sage 200 Extra on the Cloud from Wharncliffe?

Recently acquired from the Brenntag group, Waterside Colours is a leading UK based producer of liquid dyes for all types of paper applications, from packaging and tissue to graphic paper and newsprint.

The Halifax based business incorporates extensive R & D and sampling facilities in conjunction with one of the world’s newest colour production plants delivering full traceability and certificates of analysis for every batch sold.

“We sat through several presentations with our accountants Banks Cooper Associates and potential vendors but it was clear that Wharncliffe understood all our international supply chain requirements and how Sage 200 Extra could be applied to our business.”

And to help streamline all business operations, Waterside Colours has implemented a full Sage 200 solution from Barnsley based Sage Partner of the Year, Wharncliffe Business Systems Ltd.

Waterside Colours MD Andy Stamataris explains. ‘To help take Waterside Colours specialised paper dyes business to the next level, it was imperative that any new IT system had to handle all aspects of our business effectively.’

Andy continues. ‘We sat through several presentations with our accountants Banks Cooper Associates and potential vendors but it was clear that Wharncliffe understood all our international supply chain requirements and how Sage 200 Extra could be applied to our business.’

Andrew Wright of Banks Cooper Associates, the Chartered Management Accountants and transaction support specialists, who project led the implementation agrees. ‘Alan and Shaun demonstrated the most suitable solution for Waterside Colours and presented full knowledge and confidence in their products and services. The Microsoft Azure Cloud was also an important factor in Waterside Colours’ decision-making process.’

“Wharncliffe’s consultants have been very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the implementation process and we are confident that Sage 200 Extra on the cloud will support business management processing at Waterside Colours for many years to come.”

Now that the Sage 200 system is live, Waterside Colours are keen to expand it further by using Panitelligence for web-based business intelligence and graphical reporting and Sage 200 and Sage CRM for sales, service and marketing.

Andy Stamataris concludes. ‘Wharncliffe’s consultants have been very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the implementation process and we are confident that Sage 200 on the cloud will support business management processing at Waterside Colours for many years to come.’
