System Security Advice to Protect your IT Systems

With the growing, and varying sources of security threats to all businesses, large and small from Ransomware, Viruses, and Phishing, we wanted to ensure customers are aware of the options to increase protection and systems and data. We’ve summarised below a range of industry-leading solutions we recommend you consider if you’d like more information just let us know.
Acronis Cloud
Implement Acronis Cloud Backup, a robust and secure off-site backup of your critical systems. This will provide extended backup retentions, allowing greater flexibility and options to recover your data. And, optional Cloud-based disaster recovery gives you access to your systems from almost anywhere in the event of any type of disaster.
Microsoft Azure
Embrace the Cloud for your server infrastructure rather than on-site servers which can be much more vulnerable to a range of threats. With your servers running on Microsoft’s Azure Cloud infrastructure you have the peace of mind that comes with enterprise-level security, server resilience, and world-class flexible infrastructure for your business!
Office 365
Move your email and Microsoft Office application to Office 365. Most businesses are now moving away from locally managed email systems like Microsoft Exchange, removing an internal server(s) in the process and reducing the risks of malicious software reaching the business. What’s more, like Windows, it’s regularly, and automatically, updated to provide extra protection, closing any vulnerabilities in the applications that criminals choose to exploit.
Sophos Anti-Virus
Ensure your devices are always protected. If you aren’t using a centrally managed Anti-virus solution like Sophos already we’d strongly recommend you implement one. These solutions detect viruses, ransomware, and malware on your servers, PCs, and laptops, whether from an email attachment, a web download, a malicious link, or through USB memory sticks/drives your users are bringing into the office after using on external (and potentially unprotected) devices.
